Gremio ‘Not Interested’ In Selling Vanderson After Arsenal Make Enquiry For Brazilian Starlet

Gremio have told Arsenal that they are “not interested” in selling right-back Vanderson, according to Torcedores.com journalist Matheus D’Avila.

It was reported in the Brazilian press earlier this week that the Gunners had made an enquiry for the 19-year-old but it is believed Gremio are determined to keep hold of one of their most promising young players.

Whether they will be able to do so, it remains to be seen. Vanderson has a year left on his contract at the Arena do Gremio, and there is no indication that he will sign an extension at the moment.

For that reason, Gremio could be open to selling the fullback for a figure well below his current €100m (£86m) release clause, although Torcedores suggest the Brazilian club will play hardball.

The Gunners are looking to sign a new right-back, with it being said that Hector Bellerin wants to leave the Emirates. The Spaniard has been linked with moves to PSG, Atletico Madrid and Real Betis in recent months.
