REPORT: Arsenal’s Arthur Deal Hinges On Juventus Getting An Agreement For 25M Rated Chelsea Star

It has been widely reported that Arsenal will sign Juventus midfielder Arthur on loan once the Serie A club have found a replacement.

Calciomercatoweb.it, who first revealed the Gunners’ interest in Arthur back in November, claim that Juve are trying to secure a deal for Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

A move for the 25-year-old is proving complicated, though, with the Blues holding out for their €30m (£25m) asking price.

At the moment, Juventus can’t afford Loftus-Cheek so they are considering proposing a part-exchange deal involving either Adrien Rabiot or Alex Sandro.

Rabiot has worked with Thomas Tuchel before at Paris Saint-Germain so that could be an option the European champions would consider. The Sandro proposal may also prove attractive as the left-back could be seen as a replacement for Ben Chilwell, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Calciomercatoweb.it do say, though, that Chelsea would prefer to sell Loftus-Cheek outright so, if a deal can’t be agreed, it could put Arthur’s switch to the Emirates in danger.
