Celtic Interested In A Second Chelsea Legend To Replace Lennon As Manager

Celtic are one of three teams interested in appointing ex-Chelsea captain John Terry as their next manager, according to reports in the English press.

Bournemouth are believed to be weighing up an approach for the former England international, while Crystal Palace are also considering him as a possible replacement for Roy Hodgson.

Terry is currently Aston Villa’s assistant coach but he has been widely tipped to make the step up to become manager in the near future.

The 40-year-old is the second former Chelsea player to be linked with the Celtic job over the past few weeks, with Frank Lampard having also been backed to replace Neil Lennon in the hotseat at Parkhead following his exit from Stamford Bridge.

However, the bookies don’t have either of them near the top of the list of favourites. Currently, Rafa Benitez is odds-on, with Scotland manager Steve Clarke second favourite, and current assistant manager John Kennedy in third.
