Club Expect ‘Advances’ For 8.6M Rated Honduran Ace ‘In The Coming Days’ As Celtic And 3 EPL Clubs All Circle

Boavista are expecting “advances” for winger Alberth Elis “in the coming days”, according to A BOLA. The Portuguese tabloid claims Celtic, West Ham, Southampton and Brighton are all interested in the Honduran international.

The 25-year-old only moved from MLS side Houston Dynamos back in September but Boavista are preparing to cash in on the player after he had a strong first season in Portugal.

Elis scored eight goals and provided six assists in 32 appearances, and his performances have been monitored by Celtic, who also scouted him when he was still at Houston.

The Honduran will, though, cost a lot more than he would have done last summer. Boavista are believed to be demanding €10m (£8.6m); a sum which is likely to put off the Scottish club from making an offer.

Manager Ange Postecoglou says the squad does lack depth in wide areas so if Elis is not an option, Celtic will likely pursue other avenues.
