Red Bull Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch threw his hat into the ring for the Celtic job a couple of days ago after being asked about the position during an interview.
The 47-year-old hadn’t even been considered a candidate before his comments but he is now fourth favourite at some bookmakers.
Fans didn’t really know much about Marsch until he registered his interest but, after footage emerged of his team talk at halftime during Salzburg’s game against Liverpool last season, a lot of people on Twitter are ready to hand him the reins:
Love to see him at Celtic ?

As long as we try to get him in then im not going to be angry. If he does go to the Bundesliga over us then what can you do as long as we did approach him.

The American definitely appears to be a good motivator. Salzburg were 3-1 down at the interval in that Champions League group match, but they managed to get it back to 3-3 before eventually losing out 4-3.
With Marsch also known for his attacking brand of football, it seems a lot of supporters are sold on the idea of him be appointed. Whether he is actually a candidate, though, it remains to be seen.
