Celtic have reportedly joined a whole list of teams, including Liverpool, Newcastle and Sunderland, who are keen on signingHamiton Academical centre-back Jamie Hamilton.
The 19-year-old is out of contract in the summer and, while some fans on Twitter think he could be a good signing, others are concerned about his disciplinary record:
Low risk? He’s sent off constantly

He gets sent off against everyone

Decent player, dangerous at set pieces, quicker than any of our centre backs, only 19 get him signed up.

Defender who loves a red card, the new Jozo

Loved a red card

To be fair to Hamilton, he is still a teenager, and you could argue that youthful exuberance has got the best of him at times. Five red cards in 64 appearances isn’t great, but he has begun to settle down.
The defender has only been sent off once this season so far, and that came back in September, during a 4-0 defeat to Arbroath. You also have to consider the fact that if he were to become a first-team regular for Celtic in the future, he would be playing in a team that is used to dominating the ball, and there would be far fewer times where he would be forced into rash challenges.
