“A Situation To Keep An Eye On…” Journalist Hints Chelsea Could Swoop In To Sign 30M Rated Midfield Dynamo

Chelsea have a longstanding interest in Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma and may consider a bid with the player closing in on the final twelve months of his contract, according to Nathan Gissing.

The journalist, who works for Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, claims that the Malian international is on the Blues’ radar, but there are plenty of other teams who are also pursuing the Seagulls star:

Aston Villa and Tottenham are the two teams that have shown the most recent interest in Bissouma, but both Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with bids over the past year.

With his contract running down, it is believed that Brighton may accept a bid in the region of £30m, which would make him a lot cheaper than Chelsea’s alternative midfield targets.

West Ham’s Declan Rice is likely to cost in excess of £100m, while Monaco are holding out for around €80m (£68m) for Aurelien Tchouameni.
