Michael Owen Predicts The Scoreline As Chelsea Face Malmo

Michael Owen is expecting a straightforward victory for Chelsea when they take on Malmo in Sweden this evening.

The Blues won 4-0 in the reverse fixture a couple of weeks ago and, while Owen feels the match won’t be quite as easy this time around, he still believes Thomas Tuchel’s side will come out on top:

“Chelsea are looking formidable right now. Remarkably, they’ve still only conceded three goals in the league, and they cruised to a 4-0 win over Malmo in the home fixture. I don’t think it’ll be as emphatic, but I still think it will be comfortable.”

Owen has gone with a 2-0 win for the away side, which seems like a pretty fair prediction, considering the excellent form that Chelsea have been in recently.

Malmo lost their only other home fixture in the Champions League this season, losing 3-0 to Juventus, and the fact that they have conceded 11 times in their three games so far suggests they will be there for the taking.

Tuchel may be tempted to rotate but, with four days to prepare for the Burnley match on Saturday, he may choose the strongest possible team in order to strengthen their position in the group.
