BBC pundit Garth Crooks has named five Liverpool players in his ‘Team of the Week’ following the Reds’ incredible 5-0 win over Manchester United yesterday.
Ibrahima Konate was handed a surprise start by manager Jurgen Klopp but the Frenchman was praised as “another extremely astute purchase” by Crooks.
Konate’s centre-back partner Virgil van Dijk was also included in the team, along with Alisson, Mo Salah and Naby Keita, who all played their part in a remarkable victory at Old Trafford.
Crooks reserved a special mention for Salah after his hat-trick, stating that the Egyptian international is “unplayable”, and he doesn’t think any defender in the world could cope with him at the moment.
In terms of the rest of the eleven, Chelsea trio Mason Mount, Reece James and Ben Chilwell were selected following the Blues’ 7-0 thumping of Norwich City on Saturday, while Manchester City pair Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden, as well as Watford’s Joshua King were also named.
