Liverpool have been heavily linked with Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus in the German media over the past few days, with numerous reports suggesting that there has been contact about signing the 24-year-old.
There have been a whole host of names mentioned as potential replacements for Georginio Wijnaldum, with Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul being the most prominent. Fans on Twitter have been discussing which of them would be the better signing:
neuhaus gives me Coutinho vibes, his style is so good

Neuhaus better for our style of play Id say. And he is 3 years younger

Our midfield is very old so I’d like Neuhaus but de Paul would contribute to more goals so tough one

Spend some cash and buy both.

A decision between the two could well come down to money as well. De Paul is thought to be valued at around €40m (£34m) by Udinese while Neuhaus has recently had a release clause removed for a similar figure so whether the German would be available for more or less, it is open for debate.
There is also competition for the two players. De Paul has emerged as an Arsenal target in recent days, while Neuhaus has reportedly been tracked by Manchester City in the past. It means Liverpool may have to move quickly if they want either player.
