‘No Thanks. Past His Best’ ‘Never Happening’ Fans React To Journalist’s Sensational Claim About Liverpool’s Interest In Argentine Ace

Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala and the player is “keen” on a move to Anfield, according to journalist Tancredi Palmieri.

The Italian reporter, who has a pretty patchy record when it comes to reliability, says the Reds have been in contact about signing the Argentinian international on a free transfer in the summer:

Supporters on Twitter are rather skeptical about the claim, not only due to Palmieri’s poor reliability, but also because they don’t believe FSG would finance a move for Dybala:

Dybala has been linked with various English teams over the years, including Tottenham, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, but his wages and signing-on fees are thought to be extremely high.

The fact that he is available on a free does reduce the financial burden considerably, and the fact that he can play the false nine role does suggest he could be a suitable replacement for Roberto Firmino.

However, at 28 years of age, Dybala isn’t exactly that much younger than the Brazilian and his poor fitness record would also make him a less than attractive target.
