Liverpool are interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Ivorian international, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal in recent months, has less than one year remaining on his contract and could leave the San Siro this summer.
With the Reds needing a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, many supporters on Twitter see Kessie as a perfect addition in the middle of the park:
Now this would be exciting

Would love him at Liverpool class midfielder. Still feel that Saul and Renato Sanches are the better two options

There have been some claims in Italy that Liverpool have already been in touch with the Ivorian’s agent, George Atangana, and offered the player a staggering €8m (£6.85m) a season salary.
Whether there is any truth to those stories, we shall have to wait and see. Kessie is undoubtedly a very promising young player, with his game having come on leaps and bounds over the past couple of years so it wouldn’t be surprising if Liverpool are keeping an eye on him.
