Liverpool are still “interested” in signing Leeds winger Raphinha, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist did, however, claim that Barcelona are also involved, having held talks with the Brazilian’s agent, Deco, but the Reds are in the mix:
Barcelona are interested in Raphinha alongside Premier League clubs, including Liverpool [Chelsea wanted him, now in stand-by]. Barça already discussed about Raphinha with Deco. 🇧🇷 #FCB
No talks yet with Leeds – as price depends on their PL future and potential buy out clauses. https://t.co/iof4IPzMdB

Other reports have provided more detail on the buyout clauses mentioned by Romano. It is believed that the 25-year-old will be available for only €25m (£21m) if Leeds are relegated but, if the Yorkshire club keep their top-flight status, the fee will be around €75m (£63m).
Raphinha has been a long-term target for Liverpool. Back in October, Deco confirmed discussions with the Reds had taken place last summer, but things didn’t progress beyond initial talks.
That could change soon, though, with the uncertainty surrounding Mo Salah’s future at the club. Romano has revealed that the Egyptian turned down Liverpool’s last contract offer back in December, and Raphinha could well be seen as his replacement.
