Rangers midfielder Steven Davis had an outstanding game as the Light Blues edged a close encounter against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
Ryan Jack’s super strike seven minutes before half-time was enough to settle things but it was Davis’s display in the middle of the park which was the main talking point among supporters on Twitter:
My player of the year

Biggest compliment I can give Davis is, he actually gives the impression he didn’t really want to come back to SPFL, don’t want/need that pressure of winning again…. but just for loyalty I will come back, help give us title then I’m off ??

Massively underrated first time round. Fantastic footballer. Surely a hall of game guarentee after recapturing the title this season?

Been amazing

Davis turned 36 at the turn of the year but he is showing no signs of slowing down, having started 26 games in all competitions so far this campaign.
The Northern Ireland international dictates the play in midfield, playing the full 90 minutes against Killie as the Gers racked up their 25th win in 29 league games.
Surely, Davis will want to sign a contract extension at Ibrox. Manager Steven Gerrard has said he is keen to sit down with the player and see if he wants to continue his career. On this weekend’s performance, he still has a lot to offer at the highest level.
