Rangers’ Opponents In The Europa League Last 32 Have Been Revealed

Rangers will play Belgian club Royal Antwerp in the last 32 of the Europa League following the draw this afternoon.

The benefits of finishing top of their group meant that Steven Gerrard’s side avoided the big fish who had dropped down from the Champions League as well as other high profile teams.

Antwerp should not be taken lightly as they beat Premier League leaders Tottenham in the group stages but their form in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League this season suggests they are a beatable opponent.

They currently sit seventh in the table, having won seven, drawn four and lost five games. They don’t tend to score many but they are also pretty solid at the back as well.

With Rangers having also been superb defensively this campaign, this tie could well be won by the thinnest of margins. The first leg will take place on February 18th next year, with the return fixture being played on February 25th.
