Spurs can make statement of intent by signing Lautaro Martinez

According to reports in Italy (via Sport Witness), the north London outfit are lining up a move for the Argentine forward, having already raided Inter Milan for the free-agent signing of Ivan Perisic. Adding Martinez to a frontline already containing Heung-min Son, Dejan Kuluseveski and Harry Kane is certainly a mouthwatering prospect and one that could help elevate Spurs onto the next level, and at least one step closer to the likes of Man City and Liverpool.

With the Lilywhites competing in the Champions League next season, Conte knows he needs strength in depth right across the pitch and he cannot continue to push Kane’s fitness to the limits by playing two games a week for the duration of 2022/23.
