West Ham And 3 Other PL Clubs Hold Initial Talks With Ligue One Star Who Wants 150K A Week Contract

West Ham, Newcastle, Manchester United and Crystal Palace have all opened discussions with Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara, according to reports in England.

The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season and he is expected to move on a free transfer when his current deal expires in June.

It has been claimed that Kamara is demanding around £150,000 a week and that figure could cause problems for the Hammers, as it would make him the club’s highest earner.

Kurt Zouma is reportedly on around £120,000 a week, and giving Kamara a higher salary would probably be unwise, considering it could lead to others demanding similar amounts.

If Kamara is insistent on his demands being met, it is much more likely that we’ll see the 22-year-old move to either Old Trafford or St James’ Park this summer.

Champions League football could, though, sway his thinking, and while West Ham still have a chance of finishing in the top four, they are not in the best of positions currently. It’s safe to say that signing Kamara is a long shot.
