LIVE: Follow all the action here as Tottenham take on West Ham at the Optus Stadium in Perth as Ange Postecoglou’s team kick off their 2023 pre-season tour fixtures

Hello and welcome to live coverage of Tottenham’s first pre-season friendly of the summer against West Ham.

Now in Australia on the first leg of their summer tour, Ange Postecoglou will take charge of the Lilywhites for the very first time after taking on the Spurs hotseat at the start of June.

Brought to the club as Tottenham look to get back to play the attacking and entertaining football the club is known for, all eyes will be on Postecoglou’s team to see how exactly they fare against the Hammers.

New signings Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Manor Solomon could all feature, with players such as Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso set to get a second chance under the Australian following their time away from the club on loan last campaign.

Whereas this will be Tottenham’s first game of pre-season, West Ham have already played twice having beaten Boreham Wood 4-1 and Perth Glory 6-2 in the past eight days.

Tottenham correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest are covering the match with all the build-up and the action as it happens on the pitch and reaction from the supporters and media.

Scroll down for all of our latest updates from Optus Stadium.

Postecoglou on whether we started to see some of his football

Yeah I think so. From my perspective that’s what we were looking for tonight. We’ve obviously been working really hard in training and I didn’t expect the lads to be super sharp because this is the stage where you’re getting your conditioning but we have been working on stuff.

We want to see some of that out there and I think in both halves there was a real willingness from the boys to try to put in place the stuff we’ve been working on. At times it looked good but we’re still very much in the infancy of trying to establish the way we want to play and our structures.

For me the key thing is are they trying out there to implement it and for the most part it was really good.
