Following the confirmation that Roman Abramovich has decided to sell Chelsea, there are now a lot of doubts over the future of one of his key lieutenants Marina Granovskaia.
Some have assumed that she would follow the Russian billionaire out of Stamford Bridge, but that is not necessarily the case, with at least one prospective buyer said to be keen on keeping her at the club.
A lot of supporters on Twitter are hoping that Granovskaia does remain at Chelsea, considering how effectively she has run the Blues over the past few years:
Needs to stay on. Just needs a better scouting network/DOF around her.

Sincerely hope she stays around. Would be a huge loss.

She’ll be a massive miss. Who else would have got 130 million+ for hazard with one year left, plus the others she sold for massive money.

Granovskaia’s profile in European football is pretty high. She is known for playing hardball in negotiations and getting transfers over the line.
The 47-year-old was even named the ‘Best Club Director’ at Tuttosport’s Golden Boy Awards back in December, with her reputation as a smart operator helping her gain more recognition. Any successor to Abramovich would, therefore, think twice before letting her go.
