Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence “dreams” of playing for Manchester United, according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The defender has been heavily linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham, but Plettenberg says that despite the two North London clubs being “interested”, the fullback’s preference would still be a switch to Old Trafford:
Update #Spence: Selling price is €12-15m! It is said that he has got „5 offers“. City, Arsenal & Tottenham are among the interested clubs. Jedd‘s dream is to play for #MUFC one day. He is a fan! Been told there should be still a loose contact with #FCBayern. @SkySportNews 🏴

Bringing in a new right-back is expected to be one of the main priorities for incoming manager Erik ten Hag this summer. Neither Aaron Wan-Bissaka nor Diogo Dalot look good enough to be regular starters so strengthening that area of the pitch is likely to be on the agenda.
Whether Spence has the experience and ability to be a first-team player straight away, though, it seems unlikely. He has performed well during a loan spell with Nottingham Forest but he has not played at the top level.
The 21-year-old could be one for the future and the fact that he will be available for as little as €12m (£10m) should make him an attractive target.
