Manchester United will wait until the end of the summer transfer window as they look to drive down Rennes’ price for Eduardo Camavinga, according to reports in the UK.

Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in contention, but no team, at this stage, looks willing to pay the 18-year-old’s asking price.

There have been claims in France that Rennes will hold out for at least €40m (£34m) for Camavinga, despite the fact that the midfielder has less than one year remaining on his contract.

It is not believed that Rennes are willing to let the teenager go for nothing so the Red Devils will remain patient, and hope other teams don’t get involved before the player’s valuation is lowered.

Out of the other teams, Real Madrid are not thought to be in any position to make an offer, while PSG are still likely to be United’s main rivals for Camavinga’s signature.
