West Ham are considering whether to make a bid for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele, according to reports in the English media.
The former Celtic striker has fallen down the pecking order at his current club, and it is believed that manager David Moyes would be keen on bringing the 24-year-old to the London Stadium in order to strengthen his options up front.
Supporters on Twitter do think Dembele would be a good addition to the squad but they doubt that the Hammers will be able to meet the Frenchman’s £30m asking price:
Would be a great signing

If he’s gonna spend £30m & is “a big fan” I’m sure he’d play him

Manchester United and Chelsea have also looked at Dembele over the past year but his stock has fallen slightly after a barren spell in front of goal this season. With Lyon said to be open to selling up, this could be a perfect opportunity to swoop in.
As some fans point out, though, it remains to be seen whether West Ham’s owners would stump up the cash for the player.
