There was lot of talk about Frank Lampard being considered for the Celtic job a few weeks ago.
Eddie Howe’s emergence as the red-hot favourite meant any other candidates were quickly pushed to the side, but the delay in the 43-year-old’s appointment has led to questions about whether the former Bournemouth manager will turn down the opportunity.
With that in mind, one person on Twitter asked reliable journalist Alan Nixon whether Lampard would be open to an offer from Celtic or another team. The reporter provided an interesting response:
Believe he is on the look out now https://t.co/G1oDnwH8EJ

At most bookmakers, Lampard is back up to fourth favourite, at 10/1, and with the former Chelsea boss now actively looking for a job, you wouldn’t put it past the Hoops asking whether he’d be interested, especially if Howe pulls out.
Lampard’s uncle, Harry Redknapp, has suggested that the former England international would be intrigued by the prospect of managing Celtic, so it’s best not to rule anything out at this stage.
