Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that they have yet to be contacted by any club about signing centre-back Kristoffer Ajer.

There has been increasing speculation in Italy that AC Milan will make a move for 22-year-old, but when asked whether the Hoops had received any offers for his players, Lennon replied:

“There’s been no bids for anyone at the minute, which is pleasing because I want to maintain the continuity. It’s the same with Kris Ajer. There’s been talk but nothing has come in.”

“You want these guys to be part of something really special if we can achieve what we are setting out to do this season.”

Whether it will stay that way, it remains to be seen. Ajer has two years left on his contract and he has recently switched agents which may indicate he is angling for a move away from Parkhead.

His previous representative Tore Pedersen said back in March that the defender wanted to leave the Scottish champions but that suggestion was quickly batted down by Lennon.

However, the likes of AC Milan, Leicester and Arsenal have all been linked with Ajer in recent months, and it will be interesting to see whether any bids do, in fact, come in for the Norwegian international.
