Ex-Celtic star Charlie Nicholas believes captain Scott Brown will be recalled for the derby against Rangers tomorrow afternoon.

Ismaila Soro has performed superbly in recent games, leading to manager Neil Lennon to keep the club captain on the bench, but Nicholas thinks the 35-year-old will start at Ibrox, along with David Turnbull and Ryan Christie:

“Turnbull has earned the right to be in the team but I’m also a fan of Ryan Christie. He finds pockets of space in areas. There will be a big debate about Scott Brown. I think personally he (Neil Lennon) will bring him back.”

Nicholas is also advocating for Celtic to keep playing with both Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths up top in order to take the game to their Glasgow rivals. He does have concerns over the Hoops’ defence so he thinks his former team should be looking to play on the front foot.

Whether Lennon will heed Nicholas’s advice, we shall have to wait and see. Most fans would prefer Soro to stay in the side, in place of Brown, but not many would argue about heading into the game with the intent to attack, considering it is a match Celtic really need to win.
