Celtic midfielder David Turnbull has been handed the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award.
The 21-year-old has been one of the shining lights in a difficult season for the Hoops, having broken into the first team back in December.
Turnbull was signed from Motherwell in the summer and, while fans on Twitter think the player fully deserves the honour, they don’t understand why it took so long for him to become a regular in the starting lineup:
Only going to get better ???

Getting ten goals and eight assists in your debut season is really impressive, and the Scotland Under 21 international will undoubtedly improve in the coming years as he develops his game further.
Turnbull’s performances have been especially impressive considering so many others have struggled this campaign and, if he keeps up the form he has shown over the past six months, he will surely be a mainstay of Celtic’s midfield for years to come.
