Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is happy at the Emirates but hasn’t entered negotiations over a new contract, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist claims that the 20-year-old is currently “focused” on getting the Gunners into the Champions League and he isn’t looking to discuss a new deal right now:
Bukayo Saka’s really happy with his Arsenal life. He loves the club, he’s only focused on race for Champions League spot and that’s why new contract talks won’t take place immediately. ⚪️🔴 #AFC
Potential new deal could be discussed in the summer.

You can look at these comments from Romano in two ways. Either Saka will sign a new contract come what may in the summer, and he is just delaying talks until the end of the season.
Alternatively, he has opted to hold up negotiations until he knows whether his team have qualified for the Champions League. If it is the latter then both Liverpool and Manchester City will be looking on with interest.
In the event that Arsenal finish outside of the top four, the two teams (who have been linked with Saka in recent months) may look to pounce on the England international.
