After a solid opening day win against Norwich City, Liverpool will face a Burnley side this weekend who won on their last trip to Anfield in January.

However, with fans now back in the ground, it will be a very different game to that drab 1-0 defeat at the beginning of the year.

In terms of team selection, Alisson will start in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas starting as the two fullbacks. Manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to keep faith with both Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk in the centre of defence to deal with the aerial threat posed by Burnley.

James Milner is likely to retain his place in central midfield due to the absence of Fabinho, while captain Jordan Henderson may come in for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Naby Keita also expected to start.

Up front, it may be harsh to drop Diogo Jota after his goal at Carrow Road, but Roberto Firmino also came off the bench to score last Saturday, and the Brazilian’s excellent form can’t be ignored. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are likely to make up the rest of the front three.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Milner, Henderson, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane
