Liverpool are one of seven Premier League teams who are keeping tabs on Roma midfielder Ebrima Darboe, according to reports in the UK.
The 19-year-old made his senior debut against Sampdoria earlier this month, before making an appearance versus Manchester United in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final a few days later.
However, the arrival of Jose Mourinho at the Stadio Olimpico could change things. The former Chelsea and Tottenham manager is keen on signing Nemanja Matic and that could reduce the number of playing opportunities Darboe gets.
It is believed that the Gambian has already told his agents that he wants to be playing regularly next season so a potential summer departure is on the cards.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Brighton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Norwich have also reportedly been monitoring Darboe’s situation.
There were claims in the Italian press last week that Arsenal and Tottenham could also make a move for the teenager so this could be quite some transfer battle.
