Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo could be signed for only €40m (£33.6m) this summer, according to Tuttosport.
The Turin-based publication were assessing the prospects of Juventus snapping up the Italian international when they mentioned the figure which “could be enough” to get a deal over the line.
However, there have been other reports in Italy in recent days that suggest Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are also involved in the race to secure Zaniolo’s signature.
The 22-year-old has been regularly linked with English teams over the past couple of years, with Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea having all been mentioned as potential suitors.
It does appear as though the Reds are the likeliest Premier League team to make an approach for Zaniolo as things stand and his asking price would certainly not put them off from making an offer.
The Italian is believed to have stalled on signing a new contract, leading to increased speculation that Roma will look to sell him at the end of the season.
