Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has been included in WhoScored.com‘s best eleven for the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Colombian international did most of his good work in the first leg against Benfica, providing the assist for Sadio Mane as well as scoring a crucial goal to seal a 3-1 win at the Estadio da Luz in Portugal.
Diaz did not quite have the same impact yesterday evening, being substituted midway through the second half of the return leg at Anfield, but he has continued his impressive start to life with the Reds.
Three other Premier League players also made the eleven, including Chelsea’s Mason Mount as well Manchester City pair Rodri and Joao Cancelo.
Villarreal’s Geronimo Rulli & Raul Albiol, Benfica duo Gilberto and Darwin Nunez as well as Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez & Kingsley Coman were selected too. Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema completed the lineup, having scored four goals over two legs versus Chelsea.
