Since drawing a blank against Burnley in the second gameweek of the season, Salah has either scored or assisted in each of his side’s last 14 Premier League games.
Should the Egypt international directly contribute to a goal in midweek, he will equal the record of 15 set by Leicester City‘s Vardy back in 2015.
During the Foxes’ title-winning campaign, Vardy scored or assisted in 15 successive matches before drawing a blank against Liverpool on Boxing Day.
Liverpool will also be aiming to hit an English football milestone in midweek, with the Reds currently sat on 1,999 top-flight victories.
