Ex-Bayern Munich midfielder Christian Nerlinger believes his former club will put Kingsley Coman up for sale at the end of the season.
The Frenchman, who has been linked with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, will have one year remaining on his contract next summer, and Nerlinger thinks Bayern won’t allow him to leave for nothing:
“I don’t think he will stay in Munich. Bayern had a recent tendency to lose players for free. But you can’t do that in the long run, you have to sell players from time to time if the offer is right. Coman is an excellent player, but given the situation, I think Bayern will consider selling him.”
Coman has recently had minor heart surgery to correct an issue but it is not believed that it will keep him out for a long period of time.
The winger, who scored Bayern’s winner in the 2020 Champions League final, has shown no signs that he is willing to sign a new contract, with some reports even suggesting that his agent is pushing him to make a move to England.
However, it was also suggested that Coman would not be sold for less than €90m (£77m), but that figure is likely to go down if he refuses to put pen to paper on an extension.
