Liverpool are “one of” three English clubs who are interested in signing Ajax winger Antony, according to UOL Esporte‘s Bruno Andrade.
The Brazilian journalist reports that Barcelona are considering a move for the Brazilian international, along with Leeds’ Raphinha, but the Catalan club will face “fierce competition from the Premier League”.
Andrade does not identify the names of the two other teams, but it is has been widely reported that Manchester United and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Antony.
The Brazilian’s behaviour has been put under the spotlight in recent days but there is no doubting his talent, and he could be available for only €40m (£33m) this summer.
With Liverpool having also been linked with Raphinha, it does appear as though the Reds will be competing with Barca for both players in the coming weeks and months. Who will end up winning the race for the two Brazilians, we shall have to wait and see.
