BBC and Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards has named Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold as his second-best set piece taker in Premier League history.
Former Manchester United winger David Beckham comes out on top, with Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier making his top three. Fellow Saint James Ward-Prowse is fourth, with Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer, Gianfranco Zola, David Silva and Rory Delap completing the top ten.
Supporters on Twitter were split on whether Alexander-Arnold should be higher or lower on Richards’ list:

I think Trent takes better corners than JWP, but from FK’s, I think JWP is better than him tbh.

If he can work on his direct free kicks, then he will be super up there….JWP is the best at direct free kick ATM…but TAA is better at dead ball delivery and then crosses.

He’s the best. Of all time. At everything

As a LFC fan I’d say JWP above trent. JWP is much more consistent but trent still is lethal from a dead ball

TAA is 1st AND 2nd best that’s why

It is a hard one to call. Set pieces comprise of direct and indirect free-kicks, corners and throw-ins so it depends which type you place more importance on.
Alexander-Arnold is excellent at delivering balls into the box from corners and free-kicks, but he isn’t as consistent when it comes to scoring from set-pieces. James Ward-Prowse is way ahead on that front. Beckham was great both when crossing and shooting so perhaps Richards is right to put him at the top.
