Manchester City are weighing up a bid for Dani Ceballos, according to reports in the English media. The Spaniard has been on loan at Arsenal this season but the Citizens could look to snap up the 23-year-old on a permanent basis.
The Gunners are keen on extending the Spaniard’s stay at the Emirates and are said to be in negotiations with his parent club Real Madrid about extending his loan for another year.
However, Real have financial difficulties due to the global health crisis and would be open to selling Ceballos this summer if they receive a good enough fee.
With Arsenal having a limited transfer budget, Mikel Arteta‘s side are unlikely to match Real’s asking price, allowing other clubs like City to swoop in.
Reports suggest that manager Pep Guardiola does have a sizeable transfer war chest and it appears some of it could be spent on signing Ceballos.
