Manchester City are one of four Premier League clubs pursuing Penarol winger Facundo Pellistri, according to the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old is also being tracked by Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle after the teenager broke into the first team at the back end of last year.
Pellistri has only made 25 senior appearances so far but Penarol have already slapped a £10m price tag on the player, with the Uruguayan club aware that they can auction the teenager off to the highest bidder.
Considering his lack of first-team experience, the right-winger isn’t likely to be a player who would be brought in to make an instant impact. However, with Riyad Mahrez now 29 years of age, a long term successor will be needed on the right flank.
City have been pretty active in South America in recent months, having snapped up Yan Couto from Coritiba, as well as reportedly being in talks with Gremio over signing midfielder Diego Rosa.
