Inter Milan are considering an approach to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero on a free transfer next summer, according to Calciomercato.it.
The Italian website suggests that the Nerazzurri are looking at the 32-year-old as a potential replacement for Lautaro Martinez, who could be sold at the end of the season.
Aguero’s contract at City expires next year, and it is thought that Inter would be prepared to offer him a two-year deal (with an option for a further year), which would be worth around €154,000 (£139,000) a week. Supporters on Twitter have called on the Citizens to tie down the Argentine to a new contract as soon as possible:
Hands off!!!!

Would rather have Aguero ahead of Messi, ideally both.

Calciomercato.it also claim that City have set their sights on Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland as a potential long term replacement for Aguero. It remains to be seen, though, whether that huge change upfront will take place next summer or if City will agree a new deal with their legendary forward instead.
