Manchester City are tracking the progress of Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell, according to reports in the English media.
The 22-year-old has had a good season for the Eagles, leading to him being called up for England’s friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast this week.
However, most City fans on Twitter have questioned whether Mitchell has the ability to play for the club, with some likening him to Aaron Wan-Bissaka:
Not good enough offensively ..sorry

Great player don’t get me wrong but he isn’t a champions league quality player maybe in the future but not right now and we don’t wanna be taking those risks when we’ve got players like couto Walker cancelo and Zinchenko the only left back we should go for is guerreiro from BVB

No thanks, bring back Pedro porro

It should be pointed out that Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle are also keeping tabs on the fullback so his performances have come onto the radar of a number of different teams.
Whether Mitchell is good enough for the Citizens, though, is another matter. Manager Pep Guardiola could do with another option on the left-hand side of defence but, it isn’t exactly an urgent need.
Joao Cancelo has been superb playing in the role this campaign, while Oleksandr Zinchenko usually does a solid enough job as a backup.
