Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is keeping an eye on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount’s contract negotiations, according to reports in England.
The England international has two years remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, and it is believed that the Red Devils (along with Liverpool and Manchester City) have asked to be kept apprised if negotiations over an extension break down.
Unsurprisingly, supporters on Twitter have dismissed the story, with most believing there is no chance that Mount will decide to leave Chelsea for United:

We are very much in ‘silly season.’ It’s more than likely that Mount’s agents are pushing these rumours out there in order to get a better deal from Chelsea for the player.
Despite being a key figure for the Blues, Mount is currently only earning around £88,000 a week, making him one of the club’s lowest earners in the first-team squad. The aim will be to ensure he gets a huge wage rise.
