Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Juventus are all keen on signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in the English media.

The Serbian international, who has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season, is expected to be available for transfer in the January transfer window. The Viola’s chief executive Joe Barone has revealed that the player has rejected their most recent contract proposal:

“We’ve offered Vlahovic the highest contract ever in the history of Fiorentina, several times. Both Dusan and his agent made us realise that they do not want to accept. Our bid is still on the table.”

Fiorentina are said to be keen on selling Vlahovic next month for around €80m (£68m), as they know his value will depreciate if he stays until the summer when he will have just a year left on his current deal.

However, the player would prefer to remain with the Serie A side until the end of the season as he believes he will have more options on the table.

United will probably agree with Vlahovic’s stance as they are unlikely to be in the market for a new forward in the New Year. Things may change in the summer, though, if Edinson Cavani leaves Old Trafford.
