Rangers are in advanced talks to sign FC Honka striker Juan Alegria on loan with an option to buy, according to reports in Colombia.
The 18-year-old only moved to Finland in September but his performances have already grabbed the attention of scouts. Being a compatriot of Alfredo Morelos, who was also signed from Finland, supporters on Twitter could not help but make comparisons:

Loan him to play in reserves, to see if he has the same potential as Buffalo.
Lovely work.

Why sign a young untested Colombian from a Finnish team? Who’s ever done that before?
Also we are skint Declan and Bernadette say so— Neil Keevill (@chefnak1) December 8, 2020
Alegria has only played six first-team games for Honka; all of which have been substitute appearances so the teenager is certainly not a player who would be brought in to play senior football straight away. He would very much be one for the future.
Of course, his nationality will inevitably lead to him being compared to Morelos and, if he is even half as successful as ‘El Bufalo,’ then Rangers’ scouts have done a very good job. It remains to be seen, though, how accurate this story from Colombia is.
