Celtic winger Liel Abada was taken off just after the hour mark against St Mirren in the 2-0 win yesterday evening.
The Israeli international certainly didn’t put in his worst performance of the season but, despite linking up well with Matt O’Riley, he offered very little end product.
Abada’s recent displays have been pretty ineffective, leading some fans on Twitter to wonder when the 20-year-old will recapture his best form:
He offered nothing but the game was there to score plenty of goals and it didn’t happen. They can’t carry on like this, it’s lucky we’ve played low quality opposition lately

Not good a bit ineffective needs to show a bit more composure when in the last third

Some good stuff, some not so good, thought he was fine, more disappointed with Jota.

Abada a bit of a passenger and Hatate is right off form.

As former Hoops player Mark Wilson pointed out earlier this week, both Abada and Jota have really struggled over the past few games, and it may be the time to shake things up in the front three.
The big problem is the players that could replace him, including James Forrest, are not exactly in great form either. Manager Ange Postecoglou may simply choose to keep faith with Abada and hope that he does rediscover his best level in some of Celtic’s upcoming fixtures.
