Celtic are expected to hold out for a fee in the region of £20m for Odsonne Edouard, according to reports in the UK.
A number of clubs, including Arsenal, West Ham, Leicester, Roma and AC Mian have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the 23-year-old but some fans on Twitter are sceptical that the Hoops will find a team willing to match their asking price, considering his form this season:
Id spit my tea out if they get £15m never mind £20 id be shocked

I hope I’m wrong but I can’t see us getting anywhere near that for him, underperformed for 70% of the season ??

We should quote him on his form for France u21 instead of how he’s done this year.

He’s a 1 in 5 finisher

Can’t see us getting £20m in the summer, but we got our money back on Klimala so who knows. I’d imagine £15m at a push though.

We’ll be lucky to get half that for him as it’s become. He hasn’t had his head in the game for quite awhile and last week’s performance was probably his worst yet.

I think Leicester’s interest has cooled a bit, due to the performances of Iheanacho and the pending availability of Tammy Abraham.
Post COVID, on the back of a poor season with only 1 year left on his contract. We’ll be lucky to get £20M ?

Edouard has had a very patchy season, to say the least. The Frenchman struggled before Christmas but he did have a purple patch from Boxing Day to mid-February.
Since then, though, the forward has scored just once in his last six league matches, and he blew a couple of golden chances in the 2-0 defeat to Rangers at the weekend.
One of the key reasons why Celtic may be holding out for so much, even with Edouard closing in on the final year of his contract, is the fact that Paris Saint-Germain possess a significant sell-on clause, which will reduce the Hoops’ share of the transfer fee.
