With the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Tottenham on Wednesday, you can expect Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to ring the changes for the FA Cup third-round tie versus Chesterfield this evening.

Kepa will likely keep his place in goal, but the backline could see Lewis Baker replace Antonio Rudiger. The German needs a rest while Baker has been playing at the back for the Under 23s. Captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Malang Sarr may also feature if Tuchel reverts to a back three.

Callum Hudson-Odoi did not get off the bench against Spurs so he could start at right wingback, with Marcos Alonso taking up the role on the other flank.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Saul Niguez both need more game time so expect them to be in the starting eleven, with Ross Barkley coming in to play the number 10 role. Jorginho could be rested.

Up front, Romelu Lukaku may make way for Timo Werner, who needs to get some minutes under his belt. The striker could be joined up top by teenager Harvey Vale, who impressed against Brentford in the Carabao Cup last month.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Chesterfield:

Kepa, Hudson-Odoi, Azpilicueta, Baker, Sarr, Alonso, Loftus-Cheek, Saul; Barkley, Werner, Vale
