Michael Owen is expecting Chelsea to secure the three points when they take on Brighton at Stamford Bridge this evening.
The Blues have had their problems recently and, while he doesn’t think Thomas Tuchel’s side will blow their opponents away tonight, Owen still feels they will record a comfortable victory:
“I’d expect to see a Chelsea win here. It won’t be emphatic, Brighton are too organised, but Chelsea will get a couple of goals.”
Owen has gone with a 2-0 win to Chelsea, which seems like a pretty fair prediction. While Tuchel’s men are not firing on all cylinders at the moment, they should have enough to beat the Seagulls.
Brighton will still be a tough nut to crack. They have lost just once on the road all season, but they have only scored eight goals in eight away fixtures, which suggests they won’t be much of a threat going forward.
If the Blues do get an early goal, they should be able to manage the game, and perhaps add to the lead when the Seagulls are chasing things in the closing stages.
