Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is not interested in moving to Chelsea, despite the Blues having made an informal bid for the 28-year-old, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
The Italian journalist reports that “a cash offer” worth up to €130m (£110m) was made “through intermediaries” but the proposal does not interest the player.
Lukaku has already spoken out this summer about being happy in Milan but there was a feeling that he would be open to a move back to Stamford Bridge.
One report earlier this month suggested the Belgian international had unfinished business at Chelsea after leaving the London club back in 2014.
However, if Pedulla’s story is accurate, it appears that Thomas Tuchel’s side may be wasting their time by trying to pursue Lukaku.
The Blues are looking at other options, such as Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, but Lukaku has always seemed to be the most realistic target.
