Liverpool forward Diogo Jota will be available to face Newcastle this afternoon, according to manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Portuguese international has not bee pictured in training this week, and supporters have been worried that the club’s injury curse had struck again. However, at his pre-match press conference yesterday, Klopp said that the striker was “fine.”
Fans on Twitter are certainly relieved that Jota is in contention to face the Magpies, although some were sceptical that Klopp didn’t elaborate on why the 24-year-old hadn’t been out on the training pitch:

I don’t trust the word ‘fine’.

We will see this afternoon whether the forward is in fact fit and ready to play. It may be the case that the forward picked up a niggle and is nursing a problem, which will lead to him starting on the bench instead.
Conversely, Klopp may have been playing with a straight bat, and he could well be named in the eleven.
