If this report is confirmed by sources in the UK then it will be a tremendous coup for City with the Spanish Under 21 international having also attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
Torres is probably being targeted as the club’s replacement for Leroy Sane with the money from the German’s sale to Bayern Munich likely to be invested straight away in the Valencia midfielder.
