Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been named in WhoScored.com‘s Team of the Round for the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The German international got an 8.00 rating as he helped guide the Citizens to a 4-1 win over Southampton at St Mary’s yesterday afternoon.
Gundogan provided the assist for Riyad Mahrez’s goal, which sealed the team’s progress into the semi-finals. The 31-year-old has been in good form this campaign, racking up seven goals in 33 appearances, but he has been in and out of Pep Guardiola’s side over the past few months.
In terms of the rest of WhoScored‘s eleven, no less than five Crystal Palace players were selected, including goalkeeper Jack Butland, centre-back Marc Guehi and the forward trio of Michael Olise, Wilfried Zaha and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Chelsea pair Mason Mount and Romelu Lukaku, Liverpool duo Joe Gomez & Kostas Tsimikas as well as Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall made up the rest of the team.
